Smooch is the daughter of one of my heart dogs, Spell (BrambleBush Sit For A Spell). She is a wonderful companion who is truly a pleasure to live with and her breeding contribution has been absolutely stellar. She has a great front, a long neck, good thickness of thigh, and an excellent body. Smooch also has a low maintenance, rich and dark mahogany coat that is very desirable in our breed. Smooch is OFA Excellent and has obtained a CHIC number as evidence of her breed related health clearances. Smooch was shown as a youngster however her show career was put on hold while I attended veterinary school.

 

Her first litter boasts 4 Champions - 3 in the United States & 1 in Canada. A total of 5 of her puppies received points from the puppy classes, three of those dogs having gone on to win ISCA Specialty Majors and two of which won multiple Specialty Majors en route to their Championship titles. Smooch also produced the Irish Setter Club of America Winners Dog 2019- BrambleBush Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. "Declan" won numerous Best of Winners awards at Irish Setter Specialties and Supported Entries for majors, including Best in Sweepstakes and Best Puppy in Show Awards as a youngster and finished his Championship pursuit with a truly unforgettable win at the 2019 ISCA National Specialty in Asheville, NC.  

 

Declan's littermate "Murphy" also won numerous ISCA Specialty Majors on the west coast at the Irish Setter Club of Las Vegas' Specialty Shows and attained his Championship at 20 months of age. Their littermate "Hunter" won Best of Winners for an ISCA Specialty Major in Virginia and finished his Championship with a 4 point Supported Entry major win at the Maryland Sporting Dog shows and added Best Bred By in Show honors to his list of accomplishments that weekend. Their sister "Tillie" impressively earned her Canadian Kennel Club Championship at under 2 years of age in limited showing. 

 

Smooch is a lovely bitch and like her mother, holds a very special place in my heart.
